A new exhibition showcasing cutting-edge energy technology debuts

A new gallery at the Science Museum called Energy Revolution: The Adani Green Energy Gallery has recently opened, exploring the past, present and future of energy and how it can help limit climate change. The centerpiece of the gallery is a moving sculpture called Only Breath, which is 5m wide when unfolded. Additionally, part of the Zero Energy Thermonuclear Assembly (ZETA), a nuclear fusion experiment from the late 1950s, is on display for the first time.

The gallery is divided into three zones: Future Planet, which looks at computer-based models to predict future climate, Future Energy, which explores current energy supply and potential future innovations, and Our Future, which showcases creative ideas from children about meeting future energy needs. Visitors can also see exhibits on Hydrogen, Wind, and Tidal Energy.

Ian Blatchford, the director of the Science Museum Group, stated that the gallery aims to spark curiosity and important conversations about sustainable energy. He emphasized the need for the world to generate and use energy more sustainably. The gallery features contributions from artists and many others involved in acquiring and transporting objects for display.

The gallery offers an inspirational experience for visitors, encouraging them to think about the urgent need for sustainable energy solutions.
