The Arab world embraces the UN decision as a crucial and vital advancement.

The terrorist organization Hamas has emphasized the importance of freedom of movement and access to humanitarian needs for Palestinians in all areas of the Gaza Strip, including heavy equipment for clearing rubble. In a statement, the organization called on the Security Council to pressure Israel to adhere to the resolution.

Saudi Arabia has welcomed the UN Security Council’s decision calling for an immediate cease-fire in Gaza during Ramadan, leading to a permanent cease-fire, the release of hostages, and increased humanitarian aid to civilians in the Strip. The Saudi Foreign Ministry urged the international community to halt Israeli attacks on Gaza civilians and end their suffering, providing hope to the Palestinian people and allowing them to obtain their rights to live securely and establish a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Egypt also welcomed the Security Council’s decision for a cease-fire in Gaza after months of Israeli military operations. The Egyptian Foreign Ministry emphasized the need to stop bloodshed, prevent civilian losses, and allow humanitarian aid. Egypt called for immediate implementation of the cease-fire and continued efforts with international and regional parties to resolve the crisis in Gaza.

Jordan supported the resolution for an immediate cease-fire in Gaza, urging Israel to comply with it, protect civilians, and ensure uninterrupted humanitarian aid to all parts of the Strip. Jordan stressed that implementing this resolution is necessary for achieving a permanent cease-fire and protecting two-state solution.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry welcomed calls for an immediate cease-fire in Gaza from various countries as they view it as a step towards ending aggression by Israel, withdrawing its forces from occupied territories, releasing captives and establishing peace agreements that will prevent displacement and famine. International efforts are crucial in ensuring that these goals are met successfully.
