Elizabeth Paluck, a professor at Princeton University, has been named one of eight fellows by the American Academy of Political and Social Science for her outstanding work in prejudice and conflict reduction. Through large-scale field experiments, she tests interventions targeting social norms and behavior, leading to advancements in the reduction of prejudice, violence, and conflict. Paluck’s research focuses on ethnic conflict, political conflict, conflicts among young people in schools, and violence against women. Her work has received numerous accolades over the years, including two Robert B. Cialdini Awards for field research, an Early Career Award from the American Psychological Association, an honorary degree from Claremont Graduate University, and a Graduate Mentoring Award from the McGraw Center for Teaching and Learning at Princeton. She joined Princeton in 2009 and continues to make significant contributions to the field with her innovative research methods and findings that have implications beyond academia.
